At the early stages, you may have a number of ideas on how your business will function, find customers and even where you will trade from. With so much to consider it is really important to develop a business plan.

Getting things down on paper can help you identify potential threats and opportunities quicker, it will allow you to gain some expert feedback and is a prerequisite if you are looking to try and secure any external funding.

A business plan ultimately helps you articulate your business offering, your objectives, your market, the strategies which you will employ to reach your customers and most importantly your financial forecasts.
